CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF SODIUM-POTASSIUM .ANTIMONIDE (NaiKSb)
X-ray analysis of Na2KSb a photoemissive material discovered by Sommer has led to the determination of its crystal structure. The unit cell is described by the space group Fm3m-01l5 with four antimony atoms at (0,0,0; O,t,!; t,O,t; t,t,O) + 0,0,0; four potassium atoms at ( ) + t,t,! and eight sodium atoms at ( ) + t,t,t and t,t,t. The crystal structure of Na2KSb has a great resemblance to that ...
متن کاملCan antimonide-based nanowires form wurtzite crystal structure?
The epitaxial growth of antimonide-based nanowires has become an attractive subject due to their interesting properties required for various applications such as long-wavelength IR detectors. The studies conducted on antimonide-based nanowires indicate that they preferentially crystallize in the zinc blende (ZB) crystal structure rather than wurtzite (WZ), which is common in other III-V nanowir...
متن کاملSynthesis, crystal structure and fluorescence of an unusual terbium carboxylate.
A novel terbium-containing fluorescent material, [Tb(CH3COO)2(H2O)3]Cl (1), has been prepared by a facile approach, i.e. an ultrasonic synthesis. Compound 1 has been structurally characterized via single-crystal X-ray diffraction and it crystallizes in the space group P21/n of the monoclinic system with four formula units in a cell. Compound 1 features a novel one-dimensional (1-D) chain-like s...
متن کاملCrystal structure of 3-bromopyridine N-oxide
In the title compound, C5H4BrNO, there are two mol-ecules in the asymmetric unit that are related by a pseudo-inversion center. The two independent mol-ecules are approximately planar, with an observed (ring-ring) angle of 5.49 (13)°. The crystal structure exhibits a herringbone pattern with the zigzag running along the b-axis direction. The least-squares plane containing the rings of both asym...
متن کاملCrystal structure of tert-butyldiphenylphosphine oxide
In the structure of the title triorganophosphine oxide, C16H19OP, the P-O bond is 1.490 (1) Å. The P atom has a distorted tetrahedral geometry. The O atom inter-acts with both phenyl groups of a neighboring mol-ecule [C⋯O = 2.930 (3) and 2.928 (4) Å]. The C-O interaction directs an extended supramolecular arrangement along the a-axis.
